Boston radio producer claims he was trying to make a sexist joke about Mila Kunis’ nipples, not ethnic slur about Mina Kimes

Radio is a tough gig. There are hours worth of segments to fill, and on slow news days, lots of time for extemporaneously blabbering about nothing — and that’s when things can go off the rails. That’s exactly what happened with WEEI Radio’s The Greg Hill Show on Wednesday. During a segment on their “top five nips”,…

We’re basically down to seeing whether a wheezing Penguins team (whoops!) can keep their lunch down just long…

You can’t script baseball, but sometimes it can seem like it

Chopard is proud to present their latest Alpine Eagle Middle East Edition, a sporty chic steel timepiece dedicated to the gentlemen of the region and limited to 100 pieces. The Alpine Eagle collection has been enriched with a 41 mm-diameter exclusive model adorned with a dial in an original “Pine Green” colour punctuated with Urdu numerals. Made from Chopard’s exclusive ultra-resistant and highly luminous Lucent Steel A223, this timepiece beats to the rhythm of the Chopard 01.01-C movement, whose high-precision timing is authenticated by chronometer certification. It is available from Chopard Boutiques at: The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Wafi Mall. A HIGHLY LEGIBLE, STYLISH GREEN DIAL Chopard present a brand-new colour on the dial of the watches in the Alpine Eagle collection: like Aletsch Blue, Bernina Grey or Absolute Black, “Pine Green” is inspired by the palette of natural colours shaping the beauty of the Alpine biotope. It evokes the forests carpeting the mountains when, on summer days, the melting snow gives way to a deep greyish-green mantle of vegetation. Within the framework of this edition specially dedicated to the Middle East, the workshops naturally chose this dial shade as a basis, in homage to the colour green, which is particularly well-represented in Arab culture. On this textured dial with its radiating pattern evoking the eye of an eagle, the time is displayed through four indexes in Urdu numerals articulated around the centre of the dial and hands enhanced with Grade X1 Super-LumiNova® to ensure optimal visibility even in the dark. Positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock, the date, also in Urdu numerals, is clearly indicated on a green disc matching the dial and thus ensuring perfect overall discretion and harmony. SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS Since the launch of the collection in 2019, Alpine Eagle has been distinguished by its choice of materials, of which the origins pursue the objective of promoting sustainable luxury. The large 41 mm-diameter case of this new Alpine Eagle model is thus entirely made of Lucent Steel A223. In keeping with the ethical approach to which the Manufacture is committed, this metal exclusive to Chopard is made from 70-per-cent recycled material. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Chopard Official (@chopard) Thanks to its anti-allergenic composition, it has properties comparable to surgical steel, making it highly dermo-compatible. With its resistance of 223 Vickers, this alloy is 50-per-cent more resistant to abrasion than conventional steels and has a unique hardness. Finally, thanks to a crystal structure boasting superior homogeneity, its purity enables uniquely shimmering light effects. MECHANICAL PRECISION In keeping with the Manufacture’s commitment to certified precision, the Chopard 01.01-C self-winding movement at the heart of the Alpine Eagle watches and visible through a transparent sapphire case back is developed in its own watchmaking workshops and certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute. The word “Chronometer” on the dial is a reminder of this label of precision and excellence. When fully wound, the mechanism enjoys a 60-hour power reserve. Constantly seeking to meet the highest standards of precision, the watchmakers have also equipped this movement with a stop-second function enabling the user to set the time to the nearest second. THE ALPINE EAGLE COLLECTION Devised by three generations of men in the Scheufele family, the Alpine Eagle collection is a modern reinterpretation of the St. Moritz, the first watch creation by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele (now Co-President of Chopard) in the late 1970s. With its pure and assertive design, Alpine Eagle further enriches this heritage with powerful natural inspiration. Alpine Eagle is a token of refined and resolutely contemporary elegance characterised by a round case with stylised raised sides, a crown engraved with the compass rose, a bezel with eight functional indexed screws, a textured dial with deep hues and luminescent indications, as well as an integrated metal bracelet. Thanks to its independence and the integration of its various professions, Chopard performs all the production and assembly stages of the collection within its own watchmaking workshops, from movement to bracelet and including components as well as the case.

Mick Schumacher is a confident young man and certainly no stranger to the spotlight. As Mercedes’ reserve driver for the 2023 F1 season, he conducts himself at PUMA’s 75th anniversary event in Bahrain with all the poise of a seasoned veteran. But there’s one question that knocks him off balance, one that he can only meet with bewilderment. ‘What would you be if you weren’t a Formula 1 driver?’ It seems as if the very concept never even occurred to him. His green eyes begin to dart frantically from side to side as if contemplating an audacious double-overtake into Turn 1. He hesitates before eventually blurting out: “Racing somewhere else.. I guess?” ‘What if you weren’t in motorsport at all?’ Another pause, before he can only joke: “Racing people on the streets, or whatever..?” When you’re the son of F1 legend Michael Schumacher, it’s understandable if following his footsteps into the cockpit of the planet’s fastest race cars has always felt like your destiny. An equally comprehensible course of action might be to steer away from the pressures and expectations that come with the weight of the Schumacher name and the staggering seven world championships attached to it. But when racing is so deeply ingrained in your DNA that the very prospect of doing anything else is unfathomable, there was only one road Mick was ever going to take. However, following his championship-winning success in both Formula 3 and Formula 2, his first foray into the pinnacle of motorsport with Haas F1 was something of a mixed bag. He failed to register a point in his rookie season but consistently out-performed team-mate Nikita Mazepin. And while he scored 12 points in his second campaign, including an impressive P6 in Austria, new team-mate Kevin Magnussen doubled that tally. A series of costly crashes also contributed to Haas deciding to replace him with returning veteran Nico Hulkenberg for the 2023 season. However, Schumacher isn’t straying too far from the action and is looking forward to making a significant contribution to Mercedes’ efforts this year. “Because I’ve raced last year’s car, I have a much better understanding of the tyre model and also the car model,” the German driver points out. “So that’s something I can feedback right away into the simulator and draw that direct comparison. “Hopefully, during the year I’ll be able to pick out some moments and help the drivers if I see something.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sport360 F1 (@sport360f1) The fact that he’s landed at Mercedes at this point in time feels serendipitous as well. Both him and the team are in the process of getting back on track. With regard to that, Mercedes and the culture they’ve inculcated over the past decade that brought total dominance in the turbo-hybrid era, is perhaps exactly where Schumacher needs to be. He recognises how the team stands apart with how they operate and has great respect for the kind of mentality that fuels their drive for success. “I think the professional side definitely stands out. How they approach a race weekend but also just small things like media events is amazing. “You really recognise why they’ve been able to get eight constructors championships in a row. That really shows the mentality and how they’re able to consistently put in the work and effort.” Still only 23, Schumacher will have earned invaluable experience during a testing time at Haas and learned lessons that will no doubt hold him in good stead moving forward. New opportunities will present themselves and Schumacher is determined to seize them wholeheartedly. “My goal is to be back in a car as soon as I can and back on the grid.” For someone so single-minded in their ambitions, that seems inevitable. And, as has been well-established, there’s literally nothing else he’d rather do.
PUMA kicked off the 2023 Formula 1 season with a special panel discussion to celebrate its legacy in motorsport culture and discuss the importance of innovations in racewear production. It was the first of a series of events to mark PUMA’s 75th anniversary. Founded in 1948, PUMA’s rich history in motorsport dates back to 2001, when Jordan Grand Prix became the first Formula 1 racing team that PUMA supplied with both footwear and clothing. Since then, PUMA has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the sport, including Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton, and produced the best product for the best teams like Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1, Scuderia Ferrari and Red Bull Racing. The panel talk was held in Bahrain on March 1 with Thomas Josnik (Global Director Motorsport, PUMA), Mick Schumacher (Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Reserve driver), Gregor Huebner (Senior Manager Sports Marketing Motorsport, PUMA) and Maurizio Sicco (Consultant in Motorsport racewear, PUMA). The Sun & Sand Sports Commit to Nothing campaign ft. DJ Khaled, a brainchild of the leading sports destination in the Middle East, has been an astonishing success, reaching millions of audiences and inspiring several creators across the Middle East to get involved. The #CommitToNothing campaign was designed to inspire everyone to defy judgement and unapologetically express themselves while trying something new. Sun & Sand Sports intended to shift the narrative of committing to just one sport and redefine having fun without the pressure of commitment through their viral TikTok Hashtag Challenge. The Sun & Sand Sports’ #CommitToNothing TikTok Hashtag Challenge encouraged people to try freshly invented sports for the first time all while recording their first attempt at doing so. A roulette showcasing the name “Commit To Nothing” had all the various sports spun around at speed. It landed on a random sport that the user had to attempt. Whether they were Air Fencing, rolling themselves into maki rolls, or even singing while doing jumping jacks, people were highly engaged and fully embraced the spirit of this challenge. There were plenty of famous faces involved along the way that were inspired by DJ Khaled’s larger-than-life personality and his love for sports reflected in this campaign. Sun & Sand Sports played on these very traits to weave relevance and authenticity to bring Commit To Nothing to life. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sun & Sand Sports | part of GMG (@sssports) With a little over a billion views recorded in KSA, millions of users were reached and thousands of content pieces were generated following and participating in the #CommitToNothing challenge. TikTok users really got inspired and came well prepared for the different types of activities that popped up on their screens. The TikTok Hashtag challenge served up a fun way of getting into the spirit of trying new sports. It is clear the campaign resonated on a strong level across the Middle East, and has shown that people don’t always want to spend their time mastering one sport. It enabled the audiences to capture their journey of sports while truly being themselves even if that meant trying different sports to find the one that truly fits or not. Explore the Commit to Nothing TikTok Hashtag Challenge here.
In the IFZA Gold Cup 2023, the tournament’s climax showcased the best polo teams of the season in a thrilling competition for the highly sought-after Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series trophy. The occasion was brimming with sportsmanship, live entertainment, elegance, amusement, and enticing rewards and presents for its audience and spectators. The Bentley Subsidiary Final of the IFZA Gold Cup 2023 started with a fiery match between Ghantoot Polo and Dubai Wolves by CAFU, with Carlos Ulloa scoring the opening goal and Pablo Llorente Jr. quickly tying the match in the first chukker. The Patron of the Wolves, Habtoor Al Habtoor scored a great goal with Ulloa’s last second goal at the end, leading the team with two goals advantage towards the second. The Wolves had taken complete possession during the third, as the black shirted players of Dubai Wolves carved a 3 goal lead. In the final chukker, it was Teodoro Lacau from the Dubai Wolves who brought the score to a double digit, and with Ulloa ending the game at 11 goals to 8, that sealed the win for the Dubai Wolves by CAFU. Match Progression: 1 – 1 | 3 – 1 | 6 – 3 | 8 – 5 | 11 – 8 Top Scorer: Marcos Araya and Carlos Ulloa – 5 goals The final match of the Dubai Open 2023 was eagerly awaited, as it featured two of the strongest contenders of the IFZA Gold Cup 2023 tournament – the UAE Polo and IFZA Habtoor Polo teams. Tommy Beresford nicked the first goal of the match for UAE Polo. Shortly after, Juan Jauretche and Bautista Bayugar scored one goal each for IFZA Habtoor Polo. The second chukker, opened with two back to back goals from Bayugar and two from Tommy Beresford, as the teams tied through the end of the second, with 4 goals to all. The next two chukkers were a quick exchange of goals, but UAE wrestled their way through and took the lead with one goal at the end of the penultimate chukker. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series (@dxbpologoldcupseries) With seven minutes remaining in the match, UAE Polo had their work cut out for them, but Lucas Monteverde Jr. and Tommy Beresford managed to create a three-goal cushion in the middle of the chukker. ONE Fight Night 7 is in the books and we were treated to another stunning night in Bangkok. Here are the key takeaways from the event Andrade settles a score and becomes champion Last year, when he faced John Lineker, Fabricio Andrade thought he was doing enough to become a world champion. One low blow, and a no contest later and he was left frustrated – and the bantamweight world title vacant. This weekend there were no questions left unanswered, as a stoppage on Lineker’s stool at the end of the fourth round handed Andrade the title. It was a thrilling encounter between two men willing to stand and trade heavy blows. This was the coming of age for Andrade and the sky’s the limit for this wonderfully talented Brazilian. An easy first title defence A fighter’s first title defence can often be a nervy affair. Facing the added pressure of being a champion can play tricks on an athlete’s mind. Try telling that to Tawanchai PK Saenchai. He made the first defence of his featherweight Muay Thai title in just 49 seconds. Jamal Yusupov found himself unable to continue after a chopping kick to leg rendered him practically immobile. It was another one to add to the Tawanchai highlight reel – and also worthy of a $50k performance bonus.  Kelly continues on Danielle Kelly has made her intentions clear when it comes to ONE – she wants submission grappling gold. In her third fight with the organisation she was made to work for a tough decision win over Ayaka Miura – but ultimately took another step on the path to gold. This fight was not without its dangers, as Miura used all her experience to make life as difficult as possible for the American. However the Philadelphia native prevailed and now has her sights set on and old foe in Jessa Khan. Former champ gets a big win Martin Nguyen is assured his place in the history books. The former featherweight and lightweight world champion needs no introduction – but having three defeats in his last four heading into the weekend was not a place he wanted to find himself in. A crucial decision win over Leonardo Casotti has him back in the win column – and potentially back on the title trail one last time.  A new threat on the kickboxing scene We all know what Saemapetch Fairtex is capable of in the Muay Thai arena – but this weekend he proved he is equally well versed when it comes to kickboxing too. He took on top-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender defeated “Muay Thai Boy” Zhang Chenglong, and fought to a convincing decision win with continued forward pressure, strong striking, and smart tactical approach. This may have been his first ONE kickboxing win, but already the bantamweight division is on notice.
